After two successful editions, the Brussels2030 Summer Assembly is back in its spring and Molenbeek version! As we gear up for the final stage of the Molenbeek for Brussels 2030 bid to become the European Capital of Culture in 2030, we invite you to join us in envisioning the future of Molenbeek and Brussels in 2030.
How have past editions contributed to building reflection on the future of Molenbeek for Brussels? How will the city involve and engage Molenbeek and Brussels residents through a ‘bottom-up’ approach? How can we move beyond the status of the Capital of Culture and work towards a genuine urban project that benefits Brussels, its residents and visitors for the future? These questions represent just a fraction of the topics we aim to address in the upcoming Spring Assembly, and we look forward to your active participation and insights.
The Molenbeek for Brussels 2030 Spring Assembly is the last step in preparing the candidacy of Brussels as European Capital of Culture in 2030. The multi-day event is organized by Molenbeek for Brussels 2030, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Université libre de Bruxelles, Brussels University Alliance (VUB & ULB), Réseau des Arts Bruxelles-Brussels Kunsten Overleg, OpenLab.brussels, Brussels University Alliance, Brussels Studies Institute, Brussels Academy and weKONEKT.brussels.
